The rest stop is not the best example of the essence of mankind. While waiting on the girls in the restroom, Ethan and I stood in the shade of some oaks and looked around in the Louisianna heat. Cars and exhaust, trucks and big rigs, but most noticeable are the cigarette butts, pieces of litter and all the black gum spots. Pretty soon the entire parking lot and sidewalk will be covered with discarded chewing gum. No need for shoes or sandals then, right!
Kids are getting along fine and arent board... yet. We eat in Shreveport and continue towards Dallas. Did I mention we got a late start?
